Accountant Job Description

As a seasoned accountant, you will lead and manage our accounts payable function. Your primary responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, vendor invoices, and payments in line with company policies.

Additionally, you will reconcile accounts payable transactions, vendor statements, and credit card accounts. You must maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and documentation.

You will monitor outstanding payables and ensure timely and accurate payment processing. Collaboration with purchasing teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies and exceptions is also essential.

The successful candidate will support month-end close by preparing accruals, reconciliations, and reports. Assistance in audits by providing required schedules, reports, and supporting documents is also required.

This role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in dynamic work settings is crucial.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Coupa). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, reconciliations) is also necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in US accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Coupa).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, reconciliations).
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial close processes, and variance analysis.
  • Experience preparing reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in dynamic work settings.
