Job Description

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Category Management Specialist. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining global sourcing strategies, projects, contracting, guided sourcing and purchasing content management.

You will work closely with senior category managers to develop and maintain global sourcing strategies, projects, contracting, guided sourcing and purchasing content management. You will also contribute to broader development initiatives through collaboration with procurement colleagues in vendor management and third-party risk management, as well as DWS business stakeholders to ensure alignment with objectives and requirements.

Conducting analysis of category spend and market data is also a key responsibility. This analysis can be used to drive appropriate decision making. You will support the implementation of sourcing projects which includes planning, RFP, evaluation, negotiation and contracting.

Additionally, you will define and produce sourcing reports to provide advice and guidance to key DWS business stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or any related course is required. You should have a solid background in procurement with recent category management/sourcing experience in a relevant category – ideally IT services, software, SaaS, infrastructure and/or consulting.

Experience working with SAP Ariba (or other cloud-based platforms for procurement) is also necessary. Experience of spend analysis and category management/sourcing strategies is required. Additionally, you should have experience in commercial and contractual negotiations, driving contracts to signature, assuring legal and compliance alignments with corporate control functions.
