Deputy Head of Construction Job Overview

As a key member of our organization, the Deputy Head of Construction will play a pivotal role in driving construction projects from inception to completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, and adhering to all relevant regulations and standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation.
  • Implementing quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need to possess:

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects across various sectors.
  • Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, having the following certifications or qualifications will be advantageous:

  • Project Management or Construction Management Professional Certification.
  • Certifications such as LEED, CCM may be beneficial.
