POSITION: DEPUTY HEAD OF CONSTRUCTION FOR RECLAMATION PROJECTS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management and Oversight

  • Lead and manage multiple construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Ensure projects adhere to all regulations, codes, and standards.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the construction division, aligning with the organization's overall goals.
  • Implement measures that support Engineering and Construction process innovation.

Financial Management

  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial performance aligns with projections.
  • Monitor and control costs, and approve expenditures.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and construction professionals.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and maintain strong relationships.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Min years of progressive experience in Construction Project Management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects across various sectors.
  • Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Project Management or Construction Management Professional Certification is desirable.
  • Certifications such as LEED, CCM may be a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Strong leadership and multi-tasking abilities
  • Advanced project management skills including know-how in project management software
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and make informed decisions under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts, agreements, and settlements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy and Customer Service Orientation
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges efficiently
  • With Substantial experience in large-scale township development, with a particular focus on infrastructure systems.
  • Willing to work onsite at MOA COMPLEX, Pasay City
