Job Title:

Financial Operations Manager

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to oversee the processing, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions. This role involves providing leadership, direction, and coordination of operational activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency of accounting and reporting activities, and supporting compliance with IFRS standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and prepare financial reports for various stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of accurate accounting records, adhering to internal procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Provide high-level advice and guidance on financial matters to support decision-making and improve understanding of financial management.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external auditors.
  • Oversee the production of accurate financial reports required by internal and external bodies, meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of reports to enable effective monitoring of business profitability.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A finance and/or accounting background with technical experience in database design and increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proven experience working with all levels of an organisation, particularly being credible to senior management.
  • Project management and change management experience, as well as consistent and constructive people management capabilities.
  • Active accountability for your workload, along with extensive experience in a complex financial services organisation.
  • Dealing with people at all levels of the organisation, being credible to senior management.

Qualifications:

Necessary qualifications include tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred qualifications include certifications as an accountant.
