Job Title

Senior Network Engineer is a key position in our organization, responsible for providing operational support for the global network environment.

  • Provide proactive and reactive support for all network hardware, software, and communication links.
  • Coordinate with demand or project managers and use network management systems for documentation and implementation requests.
  • Respond to ticket requests and incident notifications, and resolve issues within service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project or demand managers based on requirements to integrate a network setup.
  • Provide solutions to complex problems with well-planned documentation.
  • Complete preventative maintenance activities such as code updates and equipment updates.
  • Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors.
  • Ensure security and audit compliance.
  • Perform operational-related moves, adds, changes, and deletes (MACD).
  • Adhere to operational standards and comply with engineering design standards and established operational processes.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of operational documentation, including updating engineering documentation changes due to operational changes, escalation procedures, and vendor contracts.
  • Provide root cause analysis for network events.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Networking technologies: DNS, DHCP, VPN, network security, IP routing protocols.
  • Cisco networking technologies: Routing & Switching, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
  • Cisco wireless.
  • Meraki wireless.
  • Palo Alto firewalls.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years extensive experience in supporting Cisco networking technologies.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Practical technical knowledge of CISCO networking technologies.
  • ITIL Ver. 3.0 or Ver. 4.0 preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment.
  • High-level technology problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work standing and sitting for sustained periods of time.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, engineering communications, or equivalent experience.
  • CCNA/CCNP certifications required.

Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel:

  • Mostly remote work (RTO as needed).
  • Shifting schedule.
