Job Overview:

Financial Assistant Role

Our company seeks an experienced financial assistant to assist in the monthly close process, generate financial reports on a GAAP basis, and work closely with the controller to upload financial reports to the company's financial reporting package.

The successful candidate will contribute to budget/forecasting by working closely with the CFO, controller, and FPA to prepare budgets for each entity and consolidated basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in all aspects of the monthly close process to generate financial reports on a GAAP basis.
  • Work closely with the company controller to upload financial reports to the company's financial reporting package managed through Vena consolidation software each month.
  • Prepare revenue methods based on time cards (hourly), lump sum projects, and record work-in-progress monthly based on reports.
  • Contribute to budget/forecasting by working closely with the CFO, controller, and FPA to prepare budgets for each entity and consolidated basis.
  • Focus on entities recently acquired by the company to manage their monthly close, bank reconciliations, budgets, and internal controls as they integrate into the company systems and banking.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting and a licensed CPA.
  • 5 years or more experience in finance or accounting at a mid-size to large entity with multiple entities.
  • Experience in Consolidation and GAAP accounting, KPI reporting, and advanced MS Excel knowledge.
  • Knowledge/experience of integrated accounting systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce/Accounting Seed.
