Hotel Development Specialist

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Development Specialist to join our team at Grand Taipan Land Development Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the feasibility and management of hotel projects, from conceptualization to turnover.
About the Role:
- Candidate Profile:
- Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Hospitality Management, Property Development/Real Estate Management, or equivalent.
- Strong multitasking, time management, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in hotel development, hospitality real estate, or a related field.
- Knowledge of hotel feasibility studies, hospitality trends, project planning, and brand positioning is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Land Acquisition & Feasibility Study:
- Identify potential hotel development sites and evaluate their viability.
- Conduct feasibility studies and financial assessments (cash inflows, outflows, and ROI projections).
- Collaborate with legal teams for contract preparation with landowners and other stakeholders.
- Perform initial due diligence (legal, technical, and market feasibility).
- Document project learnings and update manuals for future hotel developments.
- Assist in defining the hotel brand positioning, concept, and target market.
- Prepare project briefs and financial models based on different deal structures.
- Monitor hospitality industry trends, competitors, and new technologies in hotel development.
- Support the development of hotel pricing strategies and revenue models.
- Attend and monitor project planning meetings to ensure the design intent aligns with the hotel's positioning.
- Work with architects, engineers, and project consultants to ensure seamless execution.
- Coordinate with local government agencies for securing permits, licenses, and approvals.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and schedules to ensure alignment with financial targets.
- Oversee the pre-opening preparations, staffing, and operational planning in collaboration with the hotel management team.
- Support sales and marketing teams in developing hotel branding, advertising, and promotional strategies.
- Ensure that pricing, positioning, and market strategy align with hospitality market trends.
- Assist in crafting and monitoring hotel pre-sales strategies, partnerships, and business development initiatives.
- Oversee the handover process to hotel operators and property management teams.
- Ensure guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with hospitality standards.
- Maintain relationships with hotel operators, community stakeholders, and government agencies for ongoing hotel operations and future expansion opportunities.
