Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in US non-profit accounting, including financial reporting, close processes, audits, and compliance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
  • Preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Maintaining general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries
  • Summarizing financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
  • Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual close responsibilities and ensuring team members stay on track during close
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure optimum process and efficiency
  • Ensuring deadlines and controls are met in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Managing proper deliverables to external auditors on annual audits and quarterly reviews
  • Leading internal audit engagements
  • Completing external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors
  • Avoiding legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
  • Securing financial information by completing database backups
  • Protecting the organization's financial information
