Onshore Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Onshore Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation of health, safety, and environmental practices that comply with relevant regulations and standards in onshore operations.

The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of HSE methodologies and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a safe work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective HSE policies and procedures to ensure high standards of health, safety, and environmental management in onshore operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend improvements.
  • Organize and deliver HSE training sessions for employees to promote safety awareness and mitigate risks.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine the root cause and prevent recurrence.
  • Evaluate compliance with local and international HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to HSE activities, incidents, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with site management to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HSE in onshore operations, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
  • Ability to develop and deliver HSE training and awareness programs.
  • Experience in incident investigation and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
