At Canonical, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Technology Leader to manage our team of engineers who oversee the day-to-day managed services of customer environments. This role is an opportunity for a technologist with a passion for Linux and cloud technologies to build a career with us and drive success with customers leveraging Ubuntu and open-source products.

The Cloud Technology Leader will be responsible for managing a growing engineering team to optimize the quality and velocity of both development and operations. They will identify and measure team health indicators, implement disciplined engineering and operations processes, and represent the team with respect to stakeholders, customers, and external teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of professional experience in software delivery using Python, Go, C, C++, Java, or similar and/or managing operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality managed services
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in cloud technologies, including OpenStack
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working in distributed teams and managing remote teams
