Senior Solutions Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Implementation project teams, you will be responsible for delivering Dayforce configuration that adhere to best practices.

Your primary focus will be on assisting clients with the implementation of their Dayforce product, providing limited support and delivering long-term solutions to address configuration gaps identified by customers post go-live.

You will also be responsible for ensuring timely completion of projects across various Dayforce modules and ensuring that the solutions provided align with customer needs.

Mentoring and consulting with team members, documenting implementation process gaps, and incorporating best practices will also be part of your role.

Additionally, you will work closely with internal teams across the organization to improve implementation quality and minimize rework post go-live.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Requirements: Confirm, gather, understand, and document customer requirements.
  • Consultation Services: Consult with customers on various options to address business requirements by leveraging best practices, considering downstream effects of configuration choices, applying deep understanding of data flow in Dayforce and 3rd party applications, and considering product performance and cloud resources to optimize solutions.
  • Data Management: Write SQL code to identify, troubleshoot, and fix data as well as configuration issues in the customer's Dayforce instance.
  • XML and XSLT Code: Understand, troubleshoot, and modify XML and XSLT code.
  • Project Management: Create and follow a project plan using effort estimation, outline action items, measure progress, make adjustments, and follow the plan through to completion. Provide customers with significant and timely updates, prioritize and manage multiple projects for a customer, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with customers, Ceridian contacts, and 3rd party vendors to conduct thorough testing to deliver a complete and high-quality solution.
  • Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Use negotiation and conflict resolution skills to drive projects to successful resolution.
  • Product Enhancements: Recommend continued product enhancements.
  • Solutions Team Support: Support the Solutions Team by providing mentorship and high-quality training materials, providing solution oversight for projects, and creating, documenting, and optimizing team processes.
  • Ceridian Internal Business Processes: Understand and adhere to Ceridian internal business processes to champion customer success.
  • Dayforce Expertise: Demonstrate product expertise/knowledge of the Dayforce application and how various modules interact with and affect each other.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with Product Management, Development, Implementation, and Support teams to identify gaps, implement processes, and tooling initiatives to improve implementation quality.
