Job Overview

As a key professional in our organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of tax services. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering exceptional value to our clients, driving growth, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

The successful candidate will oversee multiple tax practice operations, providing expert guidance to ensure timely creation of tax documentation and delivery of high-quality tax returns. This role involves managing a team to guarantee client-ready deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Leading the preparation of federal tax returns and ensuring adherence to all applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Delivering efficient completion of quality tax returns and providing outstanding client service.
  • Conducting a thorough review of tax provisions, calculations, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensuring seamless compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including monitoring changes in tax legislation and implementing necessary adjustments to tax reporting.
  • Driving team productivity throughout the cycle, delegating and organizing work to maximize efficiency.
  • Actively contributing to POD/Team management, taking ownership of various projects and reporting to senior management.
  • Assisting in developing guidelines for the team to follow while preparing respective tax documentation after analyzing US tax provisions for public and private companies.
  • Maintaining open communication with stakeholders to manage expectations, ensure deadlines are met, and enhance relationships.
  • Managing, developing, training, and mentoring staff on tax projects and assessing performance for engagement and year-end reviews.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • Advanced knowledge of taxation principles, procedures, and laws.
  • At least 5-8+ years of progressive functional experience in a relevant tax role.
  • Expertise in Advanced Excel and other tools and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of US taxation principles, procedures, and laws.
  • Proficiency in Corporate taxation principles, procedures, and laws.
  • Knowledge of Internal Audit principles and process.
  • Ability to prepare documents and reports for management information and control.
  • Understanding of accounting systems and software.
  • Awareness of tax operations of shared service organizations and In-house Captive Centers.
  • Excellent budget management skills.

  • Exceptional team leadership skills.

Tech Requirements: Minimum Internet Speed 50-100 Mbps, Dedicated Home Office Area, Business Continuity Plan (Power and Internet Backup is a MUST).
