Job Description

We are seeking an experienced marketing professional to lead our marketing efforts from the ground up—building strategies, driving campaigns, and implementing initiatives to boost visibility, occupancy rates, and overall revenue.

The ideal candidate will be both a strategist and a hands-on executor, comfortable advising senior leadership while also rolling up their sleeves to get things done. Experience in sales and a deep understanding of hospitality marketing will be essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy tailored to multiple hotel properties.
  • Design and manage marketing campaigns across digital, print, and traditional channels.
  • Optimise the company's online presence—oversee website content/design, SEO, and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with leadership to prepare estimated budgets and cost proposals for strategy implementation.
  • Work closely with sales to create promotional offers/packages that drive occupancy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with travel agencies, online booking platforms, and strategic partners.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and guest feedback to refine marketing and sales approaches.
  • Oversee creation of marketing collateral and promotional materials.
  • Monitor campaign performance, prepare monthly KPI reports, and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on both sales and marketing opportunities.
Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in marketing within the hospitality or hotel industry.

  • Proven track record in both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel booking platforms, digital marketing, and brand positioning.
  • Experience in sales or business development in the hospitality sector is highly advantageous.
  • Website design and content management experience (WordPress or similar preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong budget management and KPI reporting skills.
  • Creative mindset with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional, mature, and confident when advising senior stakeholders.
Working Arrangements

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Be available for meetings and collaboration during core Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) business hours
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings with the team
  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as)
