Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Quality Analyst, Coding. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of medical coding and be proficient in E/M and CPT Procedure coding.

This position involves reviewing and assessing the quality of coding on accounts completed by Medical Coders, ensuring adherence to workflows and ethical coding standards.

The successful candidate will also design and implement quality coding review programs, communicate review findings to coding management, and obtain statistics and information necessary to assess risk for all areas of coding.

  • Collaborate with internal staff to develop improved capabilities in documentation, coding, and compliance.
  • Assess and review the quality of coding on accounts completed by Medical Coders.
  • Design and implement quality coding review programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of medical coding (CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS).
  • Proficiency in E/M and CPT Procedure coding.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, interpersonal skills, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adjust to changing job responsibilities.
  • Graduate of any Medical or Allied Medical course or equivalent work experience.
  • AAPC and/or AHIMA certification, CPMA an advantage.
  • Minimum six months' experience in quality management medical coding with exceptional performance.
