Job Overview

As a seasoned financial professional, we are seeking a Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role requires expertise in Australian taxation and the ability to work effectively in a client-facing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and efficient tax returns, including Company and trust tax returns, FBT calculations, CGT event management, and Division 7A loan compliance and structuring. They will also mentor and collaborate with our offshore bookkeeping team, providing support in business activity statements (BAS) preparation and bookkeeping processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and efficient tax returns, including Company and trust tax returns, FBT calculations, CGT event management, and Division 7A loan compliance and structuring
  • Mentor and collaborate with the offshore bookkeeping team
  • Provide support in BAS preparation and bookkeeping processes
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation
  • Proficient in Australian tax legislation and compliance
  • Familiarity with Australian Tax Office (ATO) systems and compliance deadlines
  • Xero and XPM proficiency are required
  • Background in FYIDocs is advantageous
  • Highly accurate with a sharp eye for detail
  • An excellent communicator who can train and guide junior or offshore staff
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Motivated to grow with the organization and open to taking on more responsibility
