This is a high-level position that oversees and improves the organization's internal controls, IT systems, and risk management processes. The role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and reliability of systems critical to financial reporting and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. The successful candidate will contribute to developing internal audit methodologies and the annual audit plan.
  2. They will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting IT audits in line with the audit plan or as requested by management or the Audit Committee.
  3. This role requires assessing Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICFR), including IT process walkthroughs, control testing, and reporting.
  4. Audit documentation must be complete, accurate, and support findings and conclusions.
  5. The selected individual will prepare high-quality audit workpapers and formal reports detailing observations and recommendations.
  6. They will identify internal control weaknesses and follow up to ensure appropriate remediation.
  7. Effective collaboration with control owners and external auditors throughout the audit lifecycle is essential.
  8. This position involves educating stakeholders on internal control requirements and promoting audit awareness across the organization.
  9. Staying current on business technology, accounting standards, and regulatory changes affecting IT and audit practices is vital.
  10. The candidate will communicate audit insights and actionable recommendations to management.
  11. Partnering with audit leadership to identify and assess emerging technology risks is a key aspect of this role.
  12. The ideal candidate will recommend and support opportunities to improve audit efficiency through data analytics and automation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in public accounting or internal audit, preferably within a publicly traded company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of IT systems, controls, and processes, including experience with ERP systems, cloud technologies, and enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency in auditing IT General Controls (ITGCs), automated controls, and key reports supporting financial processes.
  • Knowledge of internal control frameworks such as COSO and COBIT, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work.
  • High ethical standards, accountability, and professionalism.
