Job Summary

The Field Service Technician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service by conducting comprehensive tests, inspections, and repairs of cranes at customer sites nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic/electrical testing to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and health checks for customers to ensure crane safety and efficiency.
  • Deliver operator training and commissioning services for new or used cranes sold to customers, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Prepare detailed field service reports and provide recommended maintenance schedules to customers, promoting proactive maintenance and reducing downtime.
  • Complete all required documentation, including field service reports and timesheets, maintaining accurate records and facilitating efficient operations.
  • Prioritize ongoing education and training through prescribed service trainings, enhancing technical competencies and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Maintain assigned company assets, adhering to strict standards of usage and upkeep to optimize their lifespan and functionality.
  • Adhere to and promote strict adherence to safety policies and procedures on company and customer premises, ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Technology / Mechanical Engineering or 2-year technical course specializing in Electromechanical technology.
  • Excellent basic English oral and written communication skills, computer literacy, ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, and valid driver's license.
  • Able to work extended hours, including overtime, as required.
  • Extensive domestic travel may be necessary, with the ability to work on provincial assignments.
