Job Summary

This role oversees the comprehensive management of software licensing, subscriptions, and maintenance agreements across the enterprise. The IT Asset Management Specialist ensures compliance with licensing entitlements, optimizes software usage, and contributes to cost-saving initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage volume licensing agreements and software subscriptions.
  • Provide technical licensing guidance to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with procurement, vendors, and resellers for proper license acquisition.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms for software purchases and renewals.
  • Monitor and manage software maintenance and support agreement renewals.
  • Identify and pursue cost-saving opportunities related to licensing and renewals.
  • Support internal and external software license audits and manage remediation plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware and software licenses, across their lifecycle.
  • Proactively manage the software license pool to prevent under- or over-licensing.
  • Coordinate all renewals for subscriptions, support, and maintenance agreements.
  • Validate software deployments and license usage through tools like Flexera.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with licensing terms.

Qualifications And Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT asset management, software licensing, or a related IT operations role.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management, including negotiating pricing and managing renewals, is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management tools and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera).
  • Experience working in a multicultural, geographically distributed team.
  • Experience in a healthcare or regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle).
  • ITIL Foundation certification or similar is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Proven experience in onshore/offshore delivery environments.
