
Sales and Customer Engagement Specialist

This role focuses on selling and customer support activities. The primary objective is to achieve sales goals and meet contact center metrics, while contributing to the team's success in service metrics and all contact center goals.
Key responsibilities include managing all calls professionally, answering incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat, and resolving issues within defined service level agreements (SLA).
Additional tasks involve proactively contacting assigned customers to explore additional sales opportunities, probing for add-on/solution selling chances during customer engagement conversations, and identifying and routing proactive sales opportunities to management when applicable.
The successful candidate will also follow up on product backorders, order management, configure components to clarify basic to complex customer solutions, complete outbound calls to new/existing customers, and communicate company initiatives through standard outcall campaigns, event recruitment, or vendor leads.
As a Sales & Customer Support Representative, you will advise and recommend product options, add-ons, and solutions best suited for customers and their end users. You will maintain and apply product/vendor knowledge to fulfill customer requests and capitalize on add-on solution selling opportunities.

Requirements:
- Formal education or training required such as degrees, courses of study, certification
- Associate's/Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of one year previous sales/customer service experience, preferably in a related industry
- Experienced contact center professional, effective telephone, chat, email techniques and customer care
Technical Skills:
- Personal computing or keyboarding/data entry
- Moderate knowledge of Excel required
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal required
- Strong organizational skills also required
- Basic sales and negotiation skills required
