Database Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced database specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining relational and non-relational databases.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop database systems that meet business requirements.
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management.
  • Implement data backup, recovery, and archiving strategies.
  • Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and DevOps teams to integrate databases with applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database design and normalization.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, DynamoDB).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
