Database Expert Job Opportunity

Job Description
  • The Database Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation and maintenance of SQL and MongoDB databases. The successful candidate will ensure optimal database performance, security and availability.
  • This includes monitoring database health, performing regular backups and recovery procedures, optimizing database queries and indexes to improve performance, and enforcing data access controls and monitoring user activity.
  • In addition, the Database Administrator will be responsible for implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive data, conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, and collaborating with data engineers and analysts to integrate data from various sources into the database.

To succeed in this role, candidates must have a strong understanding of database concepts, including normalization, indexing, and query optimization. Experience with cloud-based database solutions is also highly desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and MongoDB database systems.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python).
  • Experience with database migration and troubleshooting.
