Lead Quality Assurance Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the overall testing strategy and quality assurance efforts across projects. This includes driving team leadership, assigning tasks, and fostering collaboration among QA members.

Key responsibilities include reviewing requirements, collaborating with delivery leads to contribute to user story acceptance criteria, estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities to efficiently meet project deadlines and quality goals.

A successful Lead Quality Assurance Specialist will also identify, record, document, and track bugs, effectively communicating and working with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

Other key responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage for both new and existing features.

Additionally, they will continuously track and improve quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts, to ensure the highest level of software quality.

This role requires a strong understanding of testing processes and methodologies, as well as experience in using JIRA or similar tools for defect tracking and management.

Mandatory skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience leading testing and quality assurance activities and a team
  • Experience in developing test plans and writing test cases
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Tenacious, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Experience of using JIRA or similar tools for defect tracking and management

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Salesforce implementation or any other CRM implementation
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices
