The role of Payroll Administrator is a critical function within our organization. It requires an individual with experience in payroll operations, including maintaining records, calculating employee pay, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify new-hire information and resolve any outstanding issues promptly.
  • Establish tax information for new employees and resolve outstanding issues for current employees.
  • Ensure timely approvals for increases and promotions.
  • Confirm individuals are set up in the correct earning and deduction groups.
  • Maintain accurate records in the HRIS system.
  • Process off-cycle payrolls for missed items during regular payrolls.
  • Research employee issues concerning missing pay.
  • Verify client and employee information in the system.
  • Approve timecards and track down missing punches for payroll.
  • Handle leave requests and ensure proper documentation.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of previous payroll processing experience.
  • Federal and state tax law knowledge.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of payroll processes: garnishments, benefit deductions, taxes, FMLA, Work Comp, LOA.
  • Detailed and organized individual.
  • Strong time management skills.
