Job Opportunity

A Construction Estimator plays a pivotal role in the success of construction projects by providing meticulous estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work.
  • Conduct analysis on historical data and pricing trends to refine estimate accuracy.
  • Request and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing.
  • Participate in bid reviews and risk assessment discussions.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth transition of awarded projects into production.
  • Collaborate in value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all estimates.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to obtain precise pricing, lead times, and product availability.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience as a Construction Estimator (three or more years preferred).
  • Experience in estimating within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in utilizing estimating software.
  • Strong comprehension of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
