Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the performance of client audits under the supervision of senior personnel.
  • Develop and maintain accurate audit workpapers by documenting tests and findings.
  • Research and expand knowledge of current audit legislation to ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret client data using industry-standard processes and tools.
  • Identify technical issues and collaborate with senior personnel to mitigate them.
  • Recommend process improvements and enhance client satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
  • 3-7 years of recent public accounting experience in audit.
  • ERISA and Employee Benefit Plans experience required.
  • Understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, GAAP, and industry-specific rules.
  • Experience with paperless auditing applications preferred.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong research, organizational, computer, and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service with high integrity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment Requirements:
  • Minimum internet speed: 50-100 Mbps.
  • Dedicated home office area: private, quiet workspace.
  • Business continuity plan: power and internet backup are essential.
