Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Audit Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for performing audits of client financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and executing audits under the supervision of senior personnel
  • Document audit tests and findings, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Stay up-to-date with current audit legislation and regulations, including US federal, state, and local laws
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret client data, using standard processes and tools to complete assigned project work
  • Identify technical issues and collaborate with senior personnel to resolve them
  • Contribute to process improvements and increased client satisfaction
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3-7 years of recent public accounting experience in audit
  • ERISA and Employee Benefit Plans experience required
  • Knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with paperless auditing applications preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong research, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client service and maintain high levels of integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working Requirements
  • Minimum Internet Speed: 50-100 Mbps
  • Dedicated Home Office Area: Private, quiet workspace
  • Business Continuity Plan: Power and Internet Backup is essential

Candidate Requirements:
  • BA in Accounting
  • 3-7 yrs Public Accounting exp
  • ERISA & EBP exp reqd
  • GAAS & GAAP knowledge
  • Paperless auditing app exp pref
  • Excel & Word proficiency
  • Strong R&O and A skills
  • Excellent comm skills
