Job Title: Claims Support Specialist
This role involves answering phone inquiries pertaining to workers compensation claims from multi-state medical providers. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of company computer systems, including StrataWare and CompIQ.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide prompt, courteous and accurate customer service for all calls, with a working knowledge of worker's compensation guidelines.
Perform administrative tasks such as managing faxes, resubmitting bills, updating spreadsheets, phone message retrieval, and e-mails within 24 hours.
Process medical bills, coding, or data entry with 98% accuracy during phone downtime or as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or business-related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of one (1) year Customer Service experience (voice)
Ability to learn ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT/HCOC coding
Ability to use Microsoft Windows-based software
Excellent oral and written English skills
Ability to assess and document reconsideration issues based on caller's issue
Ability to work in a team environment
