Professional Claims Specialist

As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in our organization by ensuring timely and accurate insurance claims processing.
You will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and benefits for new and existing patients. You will also code claims using approved codes and submit electronically to payers within 72 hours.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for new and existing patients.
- Code claims using approved codes from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and submit electronically to payers within 72 hours.
- Scrub claims for denials and resubmit with additional information as needed.
- Pull reports and post payments from insurer payment websites and reconcile with bank accounts.
- Maintain up-to-date credentialing with insurers for each provider.
Required Skills:
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems is necessary.
- Friendly and patient demeanor is crucial for this role.
- Ability to multitask and handle phone calls efficiently is important.
