Job Description:

The role of a senior civil designer/modeler involves playing a pivotal technical part in the project delivery process, applying advanced expertise in civil design and modeling to create high-quality solutions. This includes designing roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage systems, utility services, water and sewer systems, and pavements while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate project execution.

  • Prepare and review detailed civil design drawings, models, and documentation using AutoCAD, 12d, Civil 3D, and other relevant design tools.
  • Develop and manage 3D models to support project execution.
  • Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and planners to guarantee seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure designs meet client specifications, ANZ standards or similar, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical reporting.
  • Coordinate with project managers to achieve timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Mentor junior designers and review their work for technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and clients for project updates and reviews.
  • Stay updated with ANZ design standards, codes, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary engineering qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in design with a background and interest in roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services designs, and pavement design.
  • Proven skills in design and documentation of civil infrastructure to ANZ standards or similar.
  • Proficiency in industry design software including 12d, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering design standards and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, teamwork, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a remote or multi-location team setting.
