Job Title: Medical File Reviewer/PHRN

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to review medical files and provide expert opinions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) assigned in the client portal.
  • Review and bookmark medical records, creating a synopsis to answer medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assist medical providers during scheduled appointments:
    • Access and navigate different apps in the medical provider's computer prior to the appointment.
    • Conduct remote interviews with veterans via video or telephone conference platforms.
    • Transcribe medical histories based on veteran answers to DBQ questions.
    • Assist medical providers by documenting physical examination findings in DBQ sections.
    • Complete all DBQ spreadsheet sections after each appointment.
    • Meet with medical providers to determine final diagnoses and approve medical opinions.
    • Transfer data from DBQ spreadsheets to the client portal.
    • Submit DBQs in the client portal.
    • Answer queries and addendum reports from clients' QA teams.

Requirements:

  • Active BSN degree and PHRN license.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with veterans, medical providers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing work schedules as needed.
  • Accountability for all assigned cases.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Assist the Lead and/or Trainer in process improvement.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
