Job Overview

This role involves informing the design, development, and implementation of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects across the organization.

You'll contribute to WASH technical strategies through a multi-sectoral approach and contribute to staff development around best practices in WASH programming.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and uphold the ministry in prayer.
  • Advocate for children's needs and prioritize child protection in all decision-making.
  • Uphold Compassion's core Cultural Behaviors.
  • Provide technical guidance for effective WASH project implementation and quality globally.
  • Promote capacity development for National office specialists in emerging WASH areas and facilitate learning exchange.
  • Represent the organization and present WASH technical programs at relevant forums.
  • Write technical components related to WASH for proposal development and offer subject matter expertise in WASH strategy development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a similar field.
  • Master's degree preferred in a WASH-related or International Development field.
  • 10+ years of experience working in this or a similar position or field.
  • Advisor-level experience with a WASH program in a developing country is desirable.
  • Experience in project planning and management is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required.
