Senior Accountant Job Description

The role of a Senior Accountant involves providing financial expertise to support the growth and development of the organization. This includes leading month-end close processes, analyzing reports, and managing intercompany journals and transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Analyze reports from various systems, including Xero, and build financial models in Excel.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and cost control cycle.
  • Lead intercompany accounting and reporting processes across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Consolidate reporting across various regions.
  • Reconcile subscription revenue using Stripe data to ensure accuracy in recurring revenue streams.
  • Provide financial insights that inform business decisions.
  • Act as a trusted partner to leadership, delivering confidence and clarity around numbers.
  • Prepare SaaS Metrics reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in Finance processes.
  • Manage tax filings and compliance, including income tax, transfer pricing, GST, and FBT.
Qualifications:
  • CA or CPA qualification with experience in Australia or New Zealand.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3-4 years of accounting and financial analysis experience.
  • Experience leading month-end close processes and intercompany accounting and reporting.
  • Management experience.
  • Exposure to SaaS or subscription revenue models.
Skills:
  • High-level proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling.
  • Experience with month-end close and intercompany accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
