Role Description

This role requires a senior financial leader with proven experience in Australian compliance and client management. The successful candidate will possess technical expertise as well as leadership skills to mentor junior staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of complex financial statements, tax returns, and BAS preparation. They will also be skilled in providing compliance support and supervising junior accountants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness;
  • Liaise directly with clients to provide expert advice and support;
  • Supervise and mentor junior accountants to develop their skills and knowledge;
  • Manage workflow to ensure deadlines are consistently met;
  • Support managers with advisory tasks and client communications;
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Australian public practice accounting;
  • Strong technical tax knowledge and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in supervising and training team members;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaison with clients;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and review work to a high standard;
Work Environment
