Job Title: Head of Credit Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement credit risk policies and procedures tailored to real estate transactions.
  • Lead the assessment of borrower creditworthiness, approve or escalate credit decisions based on risk thresholds and financial analysis.
  • Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio, identify emerging risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and mentor a team of credit analysts and underwriters. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deal execution and risk alignment.
  • Provide regular reports to executive leadership on credit performance, risk exposure, and key metrics.

Requirements:

  • Strong educational background in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Graduated cum laude or better from university is preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in real estate or top financial institutions.
  • Sound knowledge of U.S. lending regulations and real estate market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in credit scoring models, financial analysis, and risk assessment tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Exemplary command of the English language.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
