Job Summary
A/R Collections Expert – Medical Billing

We are seeking an experienced A/R Collections Expert to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely recovery of outstanding claims in U.S. medical billing, with a focus on Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage insurance collections for major commercial carriers (Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue, UHC).
  • Investigate denials, underpayments, and rejections to determine corrective actions or appeals.
  • Apply therapy billing expertise including CPT codes, modifiers, and medical necessity requirements.
  • Coordinate with billing and posting teams for payment reconciliation and ledger accuracy.
  • Maintain clean aging reports, ensuring accurate documentation within EHR/billing platforms.
  • Understand and process third-party liability claims efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of U.S. medical billing experience, preferably in therapy billing.
  • Proven success in collections and payer recovery.
  • Familiarity with EHR/billing software (e.g., WebFusion, Practice Perfect, Clinic Source).
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail, persistence, and strong organizational discipline.
