Real Estate Financial Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Real Estate Financial Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial management, accounting, and analysis to drive business growth.

  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for real estate properties, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize industry-leading software such as Appfolio to streamline financial management processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct regular financial closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper recording of transactions to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of real estate assets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations to minimize liability and maximize refunds.
  • Coordinate with property managers, stakeholders, and other teams to provide timely and accurate financial insights and support.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial data and prevent unauthorized access or manipulation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in real estate accounting and finance.
  • Proficiency in Appfolio software and other accounting tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and real estate finance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.
