Job Summary

The Tax Filing Specialist is a critical role that requires attention to detail and organizational skills to prepare and support the filing of individual and business tax returns.

Main Responsibilities
  • Screen and review client-provided tax documents for completeness and accuracy prior to preparation.
  • Enter and review tax data into preparation software with precision and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and support the filing of federal and state tax returns, including Schedule C and Schedule E.
  • Organize and verify supporting documentation for client returns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive tax and financial information.
  • Meet established deadlines and collaborate with the team to ensure timely delivery of returns.
Key Qualifications
  • Utilizes Lacerte, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, or similar tools effectively.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail in screening and data entry.
  • Maintains integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Presents clear and coherent written and verbal communication skills in English.
