ICT Support Specialist Role

We are seeking an ICT Support Specialist to join our team of passionate professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional technical services. As a key member of our support team, you will provide first-line and second-line desktop support to customers and colleagues, ensuring they have the necessary hardware and software to perform their duties efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide telephone and face-to-face technical support to users regarding Desktop issues.
  • Follow agreed procedures, respond to requests for assistance by providing information to enable users to resolve their problems.
  • Maintain accurate log entries of faults with resolution and contact details.
  • Maintain accurate log entries of all times whilst on shift.
  • Ensure all hardware/software installations and routine upgrades are implemented according to Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide the business with a professional service by ensuring requests are regularly updated and realistic resolution times are provided.
  • Provide an effective interface between users and service providers, supplying all necessary diagnostic information according to procedures.
  • Ensure technical queries not progressing are escalated to Network Engineers according to established procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing team training.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 - 3 years of relevant IT Support experience coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Sound technical knowledge of desktop hardware and both standard and customised software.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple problems at once and prioritise issues.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Sound knowledge of the organisation's standard operating environment (SOE).
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
