Accounting Manager Role

eClerx, a global leader in the accounting industry, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the company's general ledger processes, including the month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and providing expert accounting guidance across the Finance team. They will also manage relationships with external accounting partners, oversee the implementation of technical accounting standards into the general ledger, and ensure full compliance with US GAAP for audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and continuously improve the month-end close process, leveraging automation and software tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational accounting matters, mentoring junior team members and driving process improvements.
  • Maintain a complete, accurate, and well-documented set of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Translate complex technical accounting concepts into accurate and reconciled general ledger entries.
  • Lead the preparation of local statutory accounts, audits, and R&D tax credit submissions.
  • Review journal entries to ensure alignment with internal US GAAP policies and supporting documentation.
  • Mentor analysts across Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to improve coding accuracy and accounting knowledge.
  • Manage an Accounting Analyst to support day-to-day core accounting activities.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to post and track non-GAAP adjustments, and prepare bridge reports between management and statutory accounts.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of accounting practices under US GAAP, preferably within software or service-based industries.
  • Combination of public accounting and corporate finance experience; prior work with a Big 4 firm is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic, with a passion for contributing to a dynamic, high-performing team.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or service-driven business.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
