Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to support our Australian client in managing and maintaining computer systems, servers, network devices, and software applications specific to the telecommunications environment.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, network devices, and software applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot to prevent downtime and data loss.
  • Perform regular backups, data integrity checks, and disaster recovery measures to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with industry-specific compliance and security standards.
  • Provide prompt and effective technical support and resolution for user inquiries and technical issues related to telecommunications systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enforce IT policies and procedures.
  • Conduct system audits to protect against unauthorized access and data breach, taking into account telco-specific vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and troubleshooting steps.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • Experience in CISCO Unified Communications Manager.
  • In addition to the Cisco UC, experience in the desktop and network space is required.
  • A strong understanding of telecommunications-specific (telco) systems and protocols is necessary.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Administrator or in a similar role within the telecommunications (telco) industry.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure tailored for telecommunications, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications-specific (telco) software applications, billing systems, and customer management platforms.
  • Solid understanding of system security principles and best practices in the telecommunications (telco) industry.
