Experienced Accounting Professional Wanted

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices, with proficiency in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing tax filings, and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Manage the accounting cycle: Oversee and manage the entire accounting cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Closing processes: Conduct monthly and annual closing processes, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Accounts payable and receivable: Administer accounts payable and receivable, ensuring efficient processing, payment of invoices, and collection of revenue.
• Tax returns: Prepare and file tax returns, both federal and state, and ensure compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines.
• Internal controls: Develop and monitor internal controls and policies to ensure financial data integrity and security.
• Annual audits: Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial practices.
• Budget preparation: Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing insights and analysis for strategic decision-making.
• Accounting software: Implement and optimize accounting software and systems to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
• Financial analysis: Provide financial analysis and reports to management, highlighting key trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Financial guidance: Act as a financial advisor within the organization, offering guidance on financial best practices, expense management, and investment opportunities.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting for U.S. companies.
• Proficiency in financial accounting software, with a strong preference for experience in QuickBooks.
• A strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the U.S. and experience with financial statement preparation.
• Fully fluent in English.
• The ability to commit long-term and work full-time.
• The ability to work U.S. business hours (Pacific Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time).
