Digital Building Integration Engineer Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring clients and partners receive high-quality fault detection and diagnostics product delivery and support. The successful candidate will have a strong background in building systems, with experience in HVAC, controls, or fault detection and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Delivery and Support: Deliver and support clients with the highest quality fault detection and diagnostics product.
  • Onboarding Projects: Collaborate on client projects, communicating timelines and milestones to ensure analytics meets expectations.
  • Data Collection Services: Conduct onboarding activities such as installing Data Collection Services, data discovery, and organization for Digital Building Engineers.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot Diagnostics for automated fault detection on customer's HVAC equipment.
  • Result Validation: Review findings and validate results reported by software.
  • Training and Engagement: Train and engage customers and partners on Data Transfer Service, data connectivity, and networking issues.
  • Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support of connected sites.
Requirements:
  • Technical Background: Confident, self-motivated, and able to quickly grasp new technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication with customers and partners.
  • Education: Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree or 5-6 years related industry experience.
  • Hands-on Experience: 1-2 years hands-on experience in HVAC, controls, or fault detection and diagnostics.
  • BAS Protocols: Experience with BAS protocols such as BACnet, Haystack, oBIX, and Modbus.
  • BAS Networking: Knowledge of BAS networking principles.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ideal Candidate Profile: Ideal candidates have exposure to automated commissioning, fault detection and diagnostics, performance measurement and verification.
  • Metadata Applications: Ideal candidates have experience with metadata applications like tags and standards (e.g., Project Haystack).

  • Certification: Basic networking or computer fundamentals certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Learner: Learns technical and engineering solutions quickly and strives to improve them.
  • Communication: Effectively communicates technical information to customers over the phone and through emails.
