Marketing Strategist for Hotel Brands
This is an exciting opportunity to lead marketing efforts from the ground up—building strategies, driving campaigns, and implementing initiatives to boost visibility, occupancy rates, and overall revenue.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy tailored to multiple hotel properties, including approaches to achieve direct booking and occupancy goals.
- Design and manage marketing campaigns across digital, print, and traditional channels to increase brand awareness and bookings.
- Optimise online presence—oversee website content/design, SEO, and social media platforms, ensuring the site supports direct booking growth.
- Collaborate with leadership to prepare budgets and cost proposals for strategy implementation.
- Work closely with sales to create promotional offers/packages that drive occupancy.
- Build and maintain relationships with travel agencies, online booking platforms, and strategic partners.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and guest feedback to refine marketing and sales approaches.
- Oversee creation of marketing collateral and promotional materials.
- Monitor campaign performance, prepare monthly KPI reports, and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in marketing within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Proven track record in both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Strong knowledge of hotel booking platforms, digital marketing, and brand positioning.
- Experience in sales or business development in the hospitality sector is highly advantageous.
- Website design and content management experience (WordPress or similar preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
- Strong budget management and KPI reporting skills.
- Creative mindset with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
As a remote role, this engagement will offer flexibility and autonomy. Successful candidates will be expected to collaborate with the team during core Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) business hours and adhere to set expectations regarding client disclosure and profile representation on LinkedIn.
Additional Information:This is a long-term independent contractor engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hotels and hospitality brands, developing innovative marketing strategies and overseeing their implementation.
