AML Enhanced Due Diligence Analyst Role Overview

The position involves conducting enhanced due diligence investigations consistent with the company AML policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough background investigations as required, coordinating with Regional Compliance or local compliance regarding potential red flags found on high net-worth individuals, keyman insurance, and principals in control.
  • Communicate case status to Business Units and Regional Compliance while addressing any AML/ATF concerns that arise during the process.
  • Promote knowledge sharing within the enhanced due diligence team and Global Investigative Forensic Services for unique findings encountered during research.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of EDD data by updating relevant tools with correct information.
  • Proactively engage with other teams through completion of ad-hoc requests or additional EDD tasks.
Required Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in enhanced due diligence or AML/ATF work focusing on investigation is necessary.
  • Experience working with life insurance and investment products, as well as an understanding of OECD FATCA, CRS, and other relevant regulatory frameworks, is advantageous.
  • A bachelor's degree in Economics, Banking, Legal, or Business is required.
  • Familiarity with various fund and corporate structures, including Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO), is crucial. ACAMS certification demonstrates expertise in this field.

  • The role requires applying technical skills such as foreign language proficiency, Boolean methodology, and data analysis alongside soft skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Strong research and writing abilities are essential for effectively communicating case status and potential AML/ATF concerns to Business Units and Regional Compliance.
