Senior Mortgage Broker Assistant Role

This is a pivotal position in the mortgage broking industry, requiring strong experience and a passion for delivering high-quality service. The successful candidate will work semi-autonomously, liaising directly with brokers and clients to manage lodgements, compliance checks, pricing requests, variations, and discharges.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supporting brokers with loan application preparation, submission, and follow-up
  • Collecting, verifying, and managing required documentation from clients
  • Liaising with lenders, solicitors, and clients to ensure timely loan processing
  • Tracking loan applications through to settlement, providing updates to all stakeholders
  • Maintaining client records accurately in CRM systems
  • Providing exceptional customer service by addressing client queries promptly and professionally
  • Staying up to date with lender policies, products, and industry changes
  • Supporting brokers with administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Handling lodgements, compliance checks, pricing requests, variations, and discharges
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Mortgage Broker Assistant (senior level preferred), with at least 5 years of experience in the field
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes, lender requirements, and industry regulations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, loan submission platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of lender policies and the mortgage broking environment
  • Previous experience in an Australian mortgage broking environment is highly preferred
