Job Overview

The Pellet Mill Operator is responsible for the daily operation of pellet machines, ensuring consistent and efficient production.

This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with the team.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Operate pellet machines, adjusting settings as needed to ensure high-quality products.
  • Monitor production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Maintain equipment, performing routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to optimize machine performance and improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational certification a plus)
  • Experience
  • Previous experience in machine operation, particularly in pellet production, manufacturing, or related industries
  • Technical Skills
  • Ability to operate and adjust pellet machines, including feed rates, temperatures, and pressures
  • Attention to Detail
  • Ability to monitor product quality and identify discrepancies or defects in the production process
  • Communication Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance teams, and other operators
