As a small, Australian-owned accounting firm with a strong focus on customer service, we prioritize our clients' needs.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in an Australian public practice firm, with a proven track record of managing a team.
This leadership position offers:
- A competitive starting salary package of $120,000 per month
- Bonus structure for outstanding performance
- Permanent work-from-home setup, allowing for a better work-life balance
- Monday to Friday schedule, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Philippine time

As a Senior Accountant at WizeTalent, you will play a key role in mentoring junior staff and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial information. Your extensive experience in public accounting, combined with your technical skills and ability to build client relationships, will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards through the preparation and review of financial statements
- Training junior accountants, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development
- Staying up-to-date on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and sharing knowledge with the team
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 4 years of Australian Tax experience within a public practice environment
- Proficiency in BGL 360 Knowledge
- SMSF experience (preferable)
- Strong knowledge of Xero accounting software
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
