Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Operations ManagerDescription:

The role of an Assistant Restaurant Operations Manager is to provide support to the restaurant manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a smooth service flow from kitchen to dining areas. This involves monitoring cleanliness, organization, and overall ambiance of the restaurant.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting waitstaff, kitchen crew, and other team members. You will help with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees, create shift schedules, and manage staff attendance or absences. Additionally, you will handle team conflicts or issues in coordination with the manager.

Your customer service skills will be essential in ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction and service. You will address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally, engaging with guests to ensure a welcoming and hospitable experience.

In terms of sales and revenue support, you will promote daily specials or upsell food and beverage items, monitor sales, and help implement strategies to achieve targets. You will also assist with inventory control and cost monitoring.

Quality control is crucial in this role, where you will check food and beverage preparation for quality, consistency, and presentation. You will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and coordinate with kitchen staff for timely and accurate order delivery.

Administrative duties include assisting with cash handling, closing reports, and POS reconciliations. You will maintain records for inventory, staff performance, and customer feedback, and help prepare operational reports as needed.

Furthermore, you will conduct or assist in training programs for service improvement, mentor junior staff, and ensure ongoing development. You will enforce standard operating procedures and service protocols.

Liaising between front-of-house and back-of-house teams will be a significant part of your responsibilities, communicating effectively with the Restaurant Manager regarding any issues or improvements needed. In their absence, you will represent the manager.

Key Qualifications:

  • A Basic/Average Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge in profit, loss, and F&B costing
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management is an added advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Five years at an Integrated Resort Hotel and Casino is an advantage
  • Eight to Five years Supervisory experience
  • Preferably with F&B product and service knowledge in Casino setting
