Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely receipt of cession data from various carriers and calculating quarterly and year-end accruals and prepaid.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely receipt of cession data from various carriers
  • Calculate and post quarterly and year-end accruals and prepaid
  • Closing all necessary entries on Balance Sheet & P&L, including AJEs
  • Report discrepancies or issues visible on any reports to Supervisory
  • Assist with coordination of new accounts and system set-up of new cells in rapidly changing business environment
  • Assist with preparation of PBC items and coordination of annual external audit requests
  • Other duties as needed or assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Accountant license (CPA/CA)
  • Understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Experience with insurance or reinsurance strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to handle complex tasks
  • Demonstrated experience with various accounting systems
